Indiana Donor Network ride is Sept 30th at Plumbers and Steamfitters. It will be a scavenger hunt in and around Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley. We will have a 50/50 drawing, silent auction a prizes for 3 drivers who complete the scavenger hunt and some for those who did not. Entry will include goodie bag and 2 shirts. We will also have extra shirts for sale and we are offering hooded and crewneck sweatshirts this year. All proceeds will go to the Indiana Donor Network. We will also have a member of the IDN on site to share the importance and how to sign up to be a donor. This is a family ride and a very relaxed ride. We have raised over $16,000 in the first 2 years and looking forward to another great ride. Come out and join the fun.
Hello! We are hosting our third annual Jeeps for IDN scavenger hunt on September 30th 2023. IDN is the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization. They help link those in need of organ and tissue transplants to donors. They also provide education to those wanting to become donors and support to donors and their families afterwards. There are currently over 1200 individuals on the waiting list in Indiana, 1,116 patients received an organ in 2022. This is a cause near and dear to us as we have event organizers who have been on both sides of this, as a donor family and as a recipient. Our goal is to increase the awareness and need for individuals to sign up to be an organ and tissue donor. We raised over $16,000 in the first two years of our ride, which IDN uses to continue to educate about organ donation as well as sending aid to those in need during their transplant journey. All proceeds received from our event will be donated directly to IDN.
Our scavenger hunt is going to include items found throughout Vigo County and the surrounding area as well as stops at many local businesses. This is a family friendly event. Indiana Donor Network will be there to provide education about the donation process and ways they can help as well as in signing up individuals to the donor network. We had a great event last year and our goal is to be bigger and better. We hope that our event grows each year and is able to continue to make a lifesaving impact on our state and community.
Obviously, we are working on a low budget and receive the majority of the items via donations to keep costs to a minimum. We are seeking businesses to help sponsor this event. We are asking $250 to place a business logo on back of event shirt or $100 for just business name. We are also looking for donations of prizes for the event or silent auction items. We received tremendous support last year and looking for continued support from the Wabash Valley. If you have services that would help to make our event even better, we welcome those as well. Proceeds from this event will go directly to IDN. Thank you for your interest and support in this event and the Indiana Donor Network. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about the event.
